Mark Bouckoms

Mark Bouckoms

Mark Bouckoms has been practising and imparting the skills of Yoga and Qigong for over 30 years. He has studied with masters in India and China, including Natanaga Zhander (Shandor Remete), founder of Shadow Yoga, B. K. S. Iyengar and Li Jun Feng, founder of Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong. Mark is recognised for his ability to understand the practitioner’s needs and unique requirements, working adeptly with students of all ages and abilities. Through his own interest in sport he has introduced Yoga to many of New Zealand’s top athletes and national teams.


Mark is also a qualified practitioner of the related healing arts of Naturopathy and Bodywork. He has co-taught Yoga teacher training programmes and meditation retreats in New Zealand and internationally.


Mark’s interest in cultivating the inner intelligence and building our life force has led him to study different energetic systems from around the world.


He offers a rich blend of these principles in his teaching. The goal is to educate and empower those open to learning from the ancient and living traditions of Yoga and Qigong.



Doreen Lehmann

Doreen Lehmann

Doreen has been practising yoga for over ten years and is certified with I.Y.T.A. She believes that yoga symbolises respecting and honouring the body, and the connection to the mind. The practice has nothing to do with the performance of difficult postures, rather the connection we develop with ourselves.

Julie Watts

Julie Watts

Julie has been practicing Yoga for over 30 years and teaching for 2 decades. Initially trained in Australia with IYTA (International Yoga Teachers Association) and over the years have travelled and worked in India and England exploring other styles of Yoga. Julie spent two years studying under Donna Farhi, a world renowned and respected Yoga teacher. She has also studied and practiced Reflexology in Christchurch NZ, with Reflexology New Zealand which has enhanced her understanding of the body as an energetic system. Julie continues developing and honing her skills as a teacher working with a variety of yoga styles such as Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Flow yoga, Power yoga. As a teacher she endeavours to share her experience with honesty and integrity, making the fruits of this practice accessible to everyone. Her teaching emphasizes clarity and precision on alignment in order to create the foundation for fluid integrated movement. Julie is currently teaching at Yoga and Qigong School of Sumner and University Recreation Centre She has also taught yoga at Configure Eastgate, CPIT CIRCO Art, Viva Women's gym and Christchurch City Council to name a few.


Maja Morit

Maja Moritz

Maja Moritz is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).


Maja had 20 years of experience in practicing yoga before qualifying as a registered teacher in August 2016. Based on Hatha Yoga Maja specializes in Intuitive Yoga, which encourages to listen to our body for guidance and emphasizes gentleness, well-feeling and intuitive individual freedom for everyone during yoga practice. Maja takes care of individual needs as much as possible and offers options for Yoga postures, if possible, to enable each participant to find their own optimal pace & practice in a class environment. A good workout combined with a relaxed pace is the mix Maja likes to provide. Deep relaxation at the end of each session is an important part of her guidance and teaching. Maja offers casual classes for beginners and intermediate yoga practitioners as well as theme based courses. Her specialty are one-on-one sessions, which honor the traditional way of holistic Yogic development in offering optimal individual support.
